The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns "tangles", which are created with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, and orbs.
Zentangle art is unplanned, so you can focus on each stroke and not worry about the end result. There is no up or down to this art form - you will create Zentangle art by rotating your paper tile as you tangle. This form of mindful drawing can help you increase focus and reduce stress. Zentangle is a fun way to create beautiful art, even if you can't draw a stick figure. Give your brain a break; you will be amazed at what you create!
In this class, we will learn 4 basic tangles (patterns) and shading techniques on 3.5 square, 100% cotton white paper tiles. We will also take time to breathe, focus on pen strokes, and appreciate this mindful practice and the opportunity to create something beautiful. We end with a class mosaic to appreciate the beautiful differences in each person's work of art.
